About me
Hi I am Arav Mathur!
CS @ Waterloo.
I'm probably working on building something I find cool :)
I aim to help solve the world's biggest problems using emerging technologies, creating projects to disrupt and redefine industries.
Who Am I?
I am a 16-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, interested in developing AI. I’m currently learning about advanced machine learning models, especially deep learning. I have developed many ML applications myself; my goals with each of my projects is to ensure that each project delivers value to stakeholders while contributing to broader societal progress.
What am I up to?
Currently, I am interning as a Data Collection and Software Engineering Intern at Aview International, which specializes in AI translations and content dubbing. I am also the founder of my own tourist safety AI startup called TurtleShell, through which I have received $26,000 in backing from Microsoft and financial support from the Government of Canada.
Facts about me!
I have previously authored two dystopian-style novels available on Amazon's Kindle. I am also a research assistant at the University of Toronto, working under Nobel Prize winner Dr. Brad Bass. Additionally, I am the founder of my nonprofit organization, Positive Powers, through which I have raised $15,000 in funding and run positivity-spreading initiatives across the world.
